On May 4, 2019, in Spain, on the Jerez circuit, Fabio Quartararo became the youngest rider in the history of Grands Prix to sign a pole position in MotoGP, at the age of twenty years and fourteen days, thus dethroning Marc Marquez, the eight-time world champion. Since then, the young prodigy has continued his incredible rise to become MotoGP world champion in 2021. A feat that no Frenchman had yet achieved. Vice-world champion in 2022, Fabio Quartararo is now indeed one of the discipline’s captains.
