Video Fabio Jakobsen had to give up early in the twelfth stage to Villeneuve-sur-Lot. The Dutchman from dsm-firmenich PostNL told following the stage, among other things, CyclingFlash that he feels anything but fit. “I keep my distance now and I don’t shake hands. I don’t want to infect the boys.”

“It always sucks to go off the race,” Jakobsen opened the interview. “It’s not going badly, but it’s not going well either. I don’t feel great. I can’t really call myself sick, but I’m not fit. I had to let go very quickly today. That I’m wearing a face mask now? Yes, I don’t want to infect the guys. I keep my distance and I don’t shake hands.”

“I’m afraid I’m suffering from something. I had the idea that things were getting better and better, but I think I got something in the gravel ride or on the rest day. Yesterday was also dramatic, even for me. And today it was absolutely nothing,” he concluded.
