Fabian Tabladothe femicide who in 1996 murdered Carolina Aló -at that time her partner- with 113 stab wounds, faces a new complaint for alleged acts of gender violence contra the woman with whom he lived until three months ago in the city of Bell Ville, province of Cordoba. However, today he broke the silence and clarified that the accusation is from “some neighbors” of the building where he lived since December of last year, and not from his concubine.
“The people who denounce are some neighbors, not all. I am carrying a social condemnation and my life is an ordeal. I am going to make myself available to Justice.” Tablado assured today, in an interview for A24from the hotel where he was staying in the city of Cordoba.
Tablado, who served 26 years in prison for the brutal murder of Aló, assured that his last partner “at no time did he file a complaint nor does he intend to do so”. Although, he lamented: “This sets me on fire once more”.
Giving his version of the events, the femicide said that he had never been able to live in peace since his arrival in Bell Ville, because, according to his testimony, “The neighbors did not want me to be here because of the social condemnation that weighs once morest me”. Faced with this adverse context, he stated: “I paid before the Justice and I try to live as a free citizen. I have the right to rebuild my life. Somewhere I have to live, or else they put the death penalty for people like me”.
Due to the social condemnation that weighs once morest him, Tablado announced that he will request accommodation “in a police station”. And he justified: “All this that I am experiencing is very distressing for me.”
About his time in prison and the personality changes he experienced during that period, Tablado said: “I took a course on violence in prison and now I am doing an online course on gender violence at the University of Córdoba. If in the 1990s there had been the information and visualization of gender and femicide that there is today, I would not have committed any crime.
“I paid a total sentence of 26 years in effective prison. I always worked and studied, and fought to have a social reintegration. But unfortunately there is not much of a foothold for people like me who commit crimes”, he pointed out during the report.
Asked if he maintains contact with his daughters, Tablado said that he does not speak with them because his priority, today, is to “comply with the orders of Justice.”
