Seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton took to social media to pay tribute to Ken Block, who died at the age of 55.

Ken Block’s death was confirmed Monday night. He succumbed to injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident. Brock was well known for his spectacular gymkhana videos and entries in various motorsports categories through his social media channels.

On Tuesday afternoon, Lewis Hamilton expressed his grief on social media.

“I’m mostly away from social media to focus on my health and well-being,” Lewis Hamilton wrote on Instagram.

“Today we received the news that we have lost a dear friend. I am devastated to hear of Ken Block’s passing. He was a wonderful man and always lived life to the fullest.”

“I remember how positive he was when we first worked together. He had so much talent in driving. A few years ago we went skiing and snowboarding in Canada. ”

“We had so much respect for each other. I will miss him so much and my thoughts and prayers go out to his beautiful family. He passed away too soon. Rest in peace Ken.”

Lewis Hamilton’s F1 team, Mercedes, also posted a message on social media.
