F1 2022 revealed with first details & teaser trailer

Codemasters and EA now have the first details and a teaser F1 2022 revealedushering in a new era of simulation.

The announcement talks regarding the biggest upheaval in the sport in over a decade, including new hybrid cars, revised rules and a revamped race weekend. It also promises races at the Miami International Autodrome, Australia, Spain and Abu Dhabi, a redefined race day with immersive and broadcast options, the introduction of sprint racing, and the spectacle of the glamorous world of Formula 1 with F1 Life.

“Alongside the real-world changes, we’ve updated the physics to match the new aero rules and revised the tire model to make the handling more lifelike,” adds Lee Mather, F1 Senior Creative Director at Codemasters.

Furthermore, the safety car periods have been adjusted, the pit stops, an adaptive AI is used, the menus are more accessible and the handling is simplified in order to appeal to inexperienced players and bring them quickly into the racing action without necessarily the complexity of sport.

Previously, EA also talked regarding a customizable focal point to showcase its collection of supercars, outfits, and accessories earned through gameplay. Recurring features also include the 10-year career mode, My Team and multiplayer mode. Whether there will also be a story and career mode was not mentioned.

Players who now die F1 2022 Pre-order Champions Edition will also get 3-day early access, as well as a limited-time Miami-inspired DLC pack. The offer is valid until May 16, 2022.

F1 2022 will be released on July 1st, 2022 for PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
