Ezz El-Din: There will not be a president who is imposed by external dictates

A member of the “Loyalty to the Resistance” bloc, Representative Hassan Ezz El-Din, explained that “the goal of dropping a white paper in the elections for the President of the Republic is to keep the door open for the other components of the Parliament for dialogue, and for the possibility of understanding on a candidate who has a balanced parliamentary majority.”

Izz al-Din’s words came during the honorary ceremony held by “Hezbollah” for his martyr, Muhammad Mahdi Hassan Manna, in the Husseiniya of the town of Burj al-Shamali, in the presence of the official of the first Jabal Amel region in “Hezbollah” Abdullah Nasser, and a number of scholars, activists, personalities, families of the martyrs, and a crowd From the people of the town and neighboring villages.

He stressed that “there will not be a president to be imposed on the Lebanese by dictates and external agreements without there being an internal consensus on that, because neither the Americans nor the French nor the Qataris nor the Saudis are the ones who will drop the paper in the box, but the representatives are the ones who will elect the president.”

He stressed that “the door to dialogue is a natural, actual, and real entrance to reach an understanding about a candidate who will obtain the required majority in Parliament, especially since the fragmentation and divisions that occurred as a result of the recent elections in Lebanon increased the complexities of electing a president for the republic.”

He said: “The deterioration of the economic conditions, the continuation of the financial and monetary crisis, and the depreciation of the Lebanese currency against the dollar, calls for a mobilization of all political forces to converge, dialogue, and understand, and to put the citizen’s priorities above all else, because frankly, there are tragedies, pains, and pains for the poor in hospitalization, medicine, and others, and therefore on all These forces must act responsibly and seriously, be honest with their people, people, and people, lower the ceiling of their positions, and leave some of the dreams and illusions they are living through.

And he considered that “it is not possible for a defiant candidate or a candidate through whom the resistance is not reassured to reach the presidency that its back is protected,” noting that “the resistance is the outcome and product of the blood of those martyrs who are the shining stars in this country, and who belonged to this country and the homeland with their blood.” This is the highest form of belonging to the homeland.”

Izz al-Din considered that “what happened on some television screens within the so-called entertainment programs and other flimsy headlines, is a very ugly act, and offends people’s dignity, honor and honor, and we put what happened in the drawing of all concerned from the spiritual and political forces in this country, and we demand the Ministry of Information and the National Council For the media and the security and judicial agencies concerned to move immediately, and to assume their responsibilities and apply the laws in force against that TV station, to be an example to other channels, so that they are committed to not harming the dignity of any component of the Lebanese society.
