European countries are experiencing extreme weather this summer, including heat waves, forest fires, heavy rains and floods.
Northern and Central Europe are suffering from heavy rains and strong winds, while Southern Europe is suffering from heat waves and forest fires.

The Norwegian province of Inlande has been plagued by heavy rains and strong winds over the past few days.
Many places collapsed or were flooded, and roads were closed.
At least 16 landslides and six floods have been reported in the state alone, and a hydroelectric power plant has also been shut down.

Northern Europe, such as Norway and Sweden, and three Baltic countries, such as Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia, have suffered heavy rain damage one following another.
Earlier, in Hudiksvall, Sweden, a railway embankment collapsed due to heavy rain, derailing a train carrying regarding 120 people.
In the second half of last week, heavy rain poured down in Slovenia and other parts of Central Europe.
Slovenia suffered the worst flooding since gaining independence from Yugoslavia (1991), and the European Union has decided to provide emergency funding.

On the other hand, Southern Europe suffers from severe heat waves and forest fires.
In the Odemira region in southern Portugal, 15,000 hectares have been destroyed by forest fires that have continued for more than five days.
Additional wildfire damage is feared in Portugal and Spain, where daytime temperatures exceed 40 degrees every day.
