Ronda Rousey defeats Liv Morgan in an Extreme Rules match to regain the SmackDown Women’s Championship
SmackDown Champion Liv Morgan failed to achieve her third consecutive victory over Ronda Rousey following the most dangerous woman on the planet managed to win and regain the SmackDown Women’s title. Morgan was close to winning and preserving the title following she jumped on Rousey, who was lying on the table, but the latter managed to escape, before she succeeded in carrying out a painful subjugation move that knocked Liv Morgan unconscious and gave her the victory to become the second SmackDown champion in her history.
Karrion Cross defeats Drew McIntyre in a Strap match
In the first Strap match to be played at Extreme Rules since 2013, Carrion Cross defeated Drew McIntyre with the help of Scarlett. In the final moments of the fight, the Scottish warrior was preparing to take a Claymore kick, but Scarlett stormed the ring to stop him, before attacking him with hot pepper spray, causing McIntyre to lose his vision and the road was clear for Carrion Cruz to implement a Croce Hammer move and win.
Bianca Blair defeats Bayley in a ladder match to retain the Raw Women’s Championship
Raw champion Bianca Blair defeated Bayley in WWE’s first-ever singles ladder match to retain her title. Dakota Kai and Eo Sky both tried to prevent Bianca Blair from winning and help their captain Damage Control win, but the defending champion hit back by dropping them with a KOD double before smashing the ladder once morest Bayley and climbing the ladder to regain her belt and retain the title.
Finn Balor defeats Edge in an I Quit . match
Edge was forced to say “I give up” as Finn Balor won the bout following an expected help from his team, The Judgment Day. While Edge was close to forcing Finn Balor to surrender, Damien Priest and Dominic Mysterio appeared to help Balor but Edge was able to deter them with a spear once morest Finn Balor who fell on his two teammates. Then it was Rhea Ripley’s turn, who successfully handcuffed Edge to clear the way for the rest of The Judgment Day to attack Edge, before Rey Mysterio rushes to the aid of Edge, but Dominic Mysterio stuns everyone by brutally assaulting his father outside the ring. As Balor prepares to pounce on Edge, the latter’s wife, Beth Phoenix, appears to save her husband, but in the end she falls with a powerful punch from Rhea Ripley, and Edge is in the unenviable position of choosing between surrender or hitting his wife in the head with the chair, so that Edge chooses to surrender and grant Finn Balor the victory. It didn’t stop Rhea Ripley from delivering a chair-killing blow to Beth Phoenix’s head in a scene that shocked everyone.
Matt Riddle defeats Seth “Friken” Rollins in a Fight Bet cage
Matt Riddle beat Seth “Friken” Rollins in a Fighting Pit cage in his first-ever WWE monthly show. This wasn’t Riddle’s first time in a Fight Bit cage as he had already experienced this during his time in NXT. During the bout, which was moderated by guest referee, mixed martial arts legend Daniel Cormier, Riddle drew on his previous experience in mixed martial arts to outsmart Rollins, who is not used to this type of fight. In the final moments of the fight, Riddle made a strong jump from a great height once morest Rollins before he carried out a subjugation movement and forced Rollins to surrender.
Bray Wyatt stuns everyone with his return to WWE
After weeks of obscurity, the mystery of the White Rabbit has finally been revealed, following raising questions from WWE fans around the world over the past few weeks. Before the live broadcast of the Extreme Rules show was interrupted, the White Rabbit finally revealed himself as the returning star following a long absence, Bray Wyatt, who looks like he won’t be returning alone but with all of the Firefly Fun House characters.
