TIPASA – The Minister of Finance, Laaziz Faid, called, Thursday in Tipasa, the external services of his department, like taxes and State Domains, to modernize their performance and to comply with current developments , by leading “a digital revolution”, by the end of the current year, within the framework of the adopted reform policy.

Inquiring regarding the functioning of the new Tax Center in Tipasa, as part of a working visit, Mr. Faid praised the State’s efforts to provide modern structures to civil servants called to “lead a digital revolution of “here at the end of the year, in particular through raising awareness among taxpayers of the need to adhere to these efforts.”

“Officials in the tax sector are required to regain the trust of citizens in the tax administration, by intensifying awareness-raising operations, considered very important,” explained the minister, affirming that “the adoption of digitalization in the Finance sector has become a reality and does not require colossal resources to make it a reality and generalize it to other services, including external services, to name only State Domains.

As part of the implementation of a new management method, the minister cited “several initiatives, such as the establishment of joint monitoring units (budget/treasury), at the level of each wilaya, with a view to creating a financial balance, or the establishment of a large-scale training program for the benefit of the people concerned at the local and regional levels.

“The modernization of the tax sector is a goal which will improve the quality of the services offered, in particular through the ‘Jibayatic’ application which allows remote declaration, as well as the ‘Moussahamatic’ platform via which it is possible to pay remote taxes, in addition to the Tax Directorate’s websites through which grievances and requests for information are handled.”

In order to achieve the desired reform, it is necessary to “launch effective training programs, like the training planned by the Public Treasury services, for the benefit of 7,128 civil servants in 2024”, maintained the minister.

Mr. Faid described, in this sense, the project to build the National Treasury School in Tipasa, whose construction work is nearing completion, of “great added value” for the higher education system capable of strengthen the finance sector and improve the performance of human resources through the training of highly competent executives in the areas of treasury and public accounting.

The entry into service of the school will offer a training capacity of 500 teaching places and accommodation of 300 beds, in addition to educational, administrative, health and sports facilities. It covers a total area of ​​more than 11,000 m², and preparation and development work is underway for the final acceptance of the project.

Furthermore, the Minister of Finance mentioned the efforts made by the State for the benefit of the wilaya of Tipasa which has “general resources likely to bring the necessary added value” to the national economy, particularly in the sectors of tourism, agriculture and fishing, emphasizing that the wilaya had benefited in 2022 from an equipment budget of nearly DA 139.4 billion spread over 536 operations as part of the decentralized sector program.

For the 2023 financial year, a program worth Da3.9 billion was dedicated to the wilaya to finance 48 projects in key sectors, including education, health, public works and construction. ‘irrigation.

Regarding municipal development programs, the wilaya of Tipasa benefited, according to the results presented by the wilaya, from an amount of 2.2 billion Da until December 31, 2022, allocated to the financing of 310 development projects. local development aimed at responding to the essential needs and direct concerns of the citizens of the wilaya, which contributed to a significant improvement in the socio-economic development indicators of the wilaya.
