The rain that fell on March 9, in Kellé in the department of Cuvette-Ouest caused significant material damage. The inhabitants of the locality of Kellé, in Cuvette-Ouest were struck by a violent rain March 09, 2022. It swept away everything in its path and caused extensive material damage. Henri Victor Ika, administrator mayor of Kellé indicated that there are a total of 24 claims including 12 totally broken houses, 10 partially broken houses, a fence wall and the fall of safoutiers. No deaths were reported. Seized of the situation, the deputy of Kellé, Thierry Hobié dispatched a team to the scene to come to the bedside of these populations. A donation of food and non-food was offered to them. The North of the Republic of Congo is often confronted with natural disasters. One accord of an amount of 500 thousand dollars was signed on March 11 between the Congo and China in order to come to the aid of the victims of the floods which occurred in the northern part of the Congo.
