But this time will not normally last. The heat is expected to resurface with the mercury rising close to 25 degrees next week. “The weather forecast shows that following the weekend the weather pattern will become more stable with drier and warmer weather and temperatures between 20 and 25 degrees,” confirms Nicolas Roose from NoodweerBenelux to ‘Het Nieuwsblad’.

Even if astronomical autumn begins next week, a breath of warm air will allow us to enjoy the good weather a little longer. “According to a recent KNMI study, September is also starting to look more like June and it is therefore no longer exceptional to see such high temperatures, even a one-off rise of 25 or 30 degrees,” he explains. The meteorologist, however, rules out a new heat wave.
