The Vacations Chamber of the Criminal Court pronounced this week a sentence of one year in prison, accompanied by a probationary suspension of five years, and a fine of 8,000 euros once morest a couple from Frameries prosecuted for selling products narcotics. The court retained the aggravating circumstance of having used a minor, the eldest son of the couple aged eleven, to sell their goods.
It was a young man, deprived of his freedom following a scene of beatings, who denounced the couple. The police had found 2.5 grams of weed in his pockets. Local police placed the couple’s home under surveillance.
On May 31, the police searched the house on the basis of flagrante delicto, following having arrested a client who was leaving the house under surveillance.
The police seized in the house 1485 euros in small denominations, 189 grams of cannabis, a precision scale and pacsons.
The couple quickly confessed. They had been selling cannabis, and sometimes cocaine, for four years. During this period, they made a fortune, around 400,000 euros according to the calculations of the prosecution.
