The Central Administration for Tourism and Summer Resorts in Alexandria Governorate monitored a complaint about the high prices of fish meal in one of the famous restaurants located in the Miami area, east of the governorate, on the social networking site, as the value of the bill for a fish meal amounted to about 15 thousand and 188 pounds.

According to the complaint on the social networking site via Facebook, 15 people went to a famous fish restaurant in Miami, east of Alexandria, and after they finished eating the fish meal, they were surprised by the high value of the meal bill, which reached 15,188 pounds.

The bill included the price of grouper fish about 6 thousand pounds, the price of rice amounted to 1200 pounds, while the price of salads amounted to about 600 pounds, while the price of a quarter kilo of roe reached 650 pounds, and the price of a shrimp meal was approximately 2500 pounds.
And the complaint stated on the communication site, “I need to know the opinion of the Alexandrians. We were 15 people. We went to eat in a famous restaurant in Miami, and the bill exceeded 15,000 pounds. Regardless of the taste of the food and the level of service, I need to know whether this scam was used on us or not.” He added that they had a strange insistence on Selling a Waqar 111 fish, and it was our fault that we did not ask about it, and the price alone was close to 7 thousand pounds, which makes me feel that the prices are exaggerated.
The complaint caused mixed reactions on social networking sites via Facebook, as one team confirmed that the prices are exaggerated and that this restaurant is known for raising prices compared to other restaurants, while another team indicated that the price hike has become a normal thing, but the total amount is exaggerated.
Tourism and expenses check
For its part, the Central Administration for Tourism and Resorts in Alexandria, led by Dr. Mohamed Abdel Razek, head of the administration, opened an investigation into the incident after the complaint was monitored on the social networking site about the high prices of fish meals in a restaurant.
