A new mum who had just welcomed her first baby just 17 days earlier ‘lost everything in an hour’ following discovering to her horror that her fiancé, the father of her daughter, had been a pedophile for more than 20 years years.
“I was completely in shock – we were engaged, saving for a mortgage and I had just had a baby 17 days before. In the snap of my fingers, I became a single mother who had essentially lost her whole life,” Amy, the pedophile’s ex, testified at his trial last month in Canterbury, UK, according to what reported The Mirror Friday.
After years of investigation, pedophile Jamie Kennedy, 41, was finally found guilty of 16 counts, including sexual assault, sexual activity with a child, enticing a child to engage in sexual activity and possession of indecent images.
The forties had been denounced in 2016, following his ex-fiancée had given birth to their daughter. It was there that she would have noticed that her fiancé showed little interest in their baby, suspecting that he was cheating on her with another woman.
To find out for sure, she would have decided to search her cell phone, before coming across conversations with “very young girls” who sent her “completely naked photos”, according to what the woman reportedly said.
“It was dreadful. I didn’t know what to do so I took my baby to my mother’s room and told her “You have to get up”. She said to me “What’s wrong?” and I said, ‘Jamie is a pedophile,'” she continued, according to The Mirror.
The duo would then have spent the night recording all the evidence of the conversations, before calling the police to denounce him.
The trial brought to light his crimes spread over a period of more than 20 years. The man allegedly attacked several young girls aged 11 to 16, promising them model careers in exchange for photos. The pedophile was also convicted of six rape charges.
His last offense dates back to last year, when he was released on bail awaiting trial, the British media reported.
The forties should receive his sentence on September 8, at the Canterbury Crown Court.
