Asunción, IP Agency.- In the first quarter of this year, technological shipments reached a total of 360.39 million dollars, according to data from the Competitive Intelligence Directorate of the Investment and Export Network (Rediex).
Some of the main products sent to the international market are insulated conductors, insecticides and ethyl alcohol, worth 76.24 million dollars, according to official data from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
These products are followed by insecticides and others for pests, for a total of USD 30.86 million; ethyl alcohol, for USD 26.33 million; in addition to base metal caps and lids and medicines, exported worth USD 20.26 and USD 14.50 million, respectively.
Articles for transportation or plastic packaging recorded shipments of USD 14.23 million in these first three months of the year.
Dynamism and increase in markets for national products
Exports of Paraguayan technological products showed good dynamism, revealing the good development of the sector and the increase in markets for national products, highlights the MIC.
Within this group of industrial products, the presence of tanned bovine or equine leather sent to the foreign market worth USD 11.96 million also stands out.
The Central Bank of Paraguay reveals that among the industrial products that increased their numbers by more than 20% in the first quarter of 2023, were insecticides, medicines, and transportation items.
The Directorate of Competitive Intelligence also emphasizes that among the technological exports sent to the international market, there are also other manufactures of leather, blankets, leggings, ferroalloys, tanks, aluminum containers, soaps and among others.
