Cabimas.- On July 1, the Expoferia Oportunidades de Estudios Zulia 2023 was held, which had as its epicenter the Rafael María Baralt National Experimental University (Unermb), where the Minister of Education Yelitze Santaella and the Minister of University Education, Sandra Oblitas, were present. .

The ministers took a tour of each of the various stands of productive engines including Petrochemical Hydrocarbons, Agri-food, Construction, Information Technology and Telecommunications, Industrial, among others.

Santaella highlighted the achievements made in the different educational institutions throughout the Venezuelan geography and indicated that more than 34 thousand students from the state of Zulia graduated.

He mentioned that an Expo-Fair was also recently held in Maracaibo to offer study opportunities to youth graduating from the diversified cycle, so that they do not remain without enrolling in the National Entry System and have the opportunity to enroll in those careers that have been prioritized. the Bolivarian Government for the development of the territory and the productive engines.

«In the case of Zulia state we have been able to observe the presence of the range of opportunities. Through the Bolivarian Government, we will continue to support students, to deepen their knowledge in their life project,” said Santaella.

For her part, Minister Sandra Oblitas, was pleased to visit Cabimas, to directly attend to the student population graduating from high school.

He assured that the instruction and purpose that has been managed together with Minister Santaella and the State policies to guarantee all young people who graduate from high school the possibility of joining public university education are held very high and with great commitment. free and quality as established by the Constitution of the Republic of Venezuela.

He affirmed that this objective is achieved through the National Income System, while recalling that there are some areas that the State has prioritized, which it has identified as great needs for the consolidation, growth and development of the country.

“It is good that those needs that the country has can be met through the decisions that students make when deciding their life project,” said Oblitas.

Also present were the vice minister of education, Vicente Carvajal, the vice minister of labor Edgar Blanco, Federico Guzmán Bornía, division general and head of Corpozulia at the Zulia state level, Frank Carreño, regional coordinator of the State University Management Council, Penélope González, authority of the Center for the Development of Educational Quality of the state of Zulia, Willy Casanova, former mayor of Maracaibo, Dr. Pedro Duarte, former mayor of Cabimas, Jose Luis Reverol, coordinator of the PSUV in Cabimas, among other authorities.

“Come with us the line of our president Nicolás Maduro with the University Opportunities Expo, it has already been oriented on what are the prioritized careers, the link between the university and the productive engines, the guide to the development of the nation among other aspects”, affirmed the vice minister of education Cavajal, who recognized the work carried out by teachers from Zulia state and ratified the commitment of the education policies implemented by the National Government for the benefit of students.

Among the universities present, in addition to the Unermb, the UPTZ, the University of Zulia, the LUZ-COL nucleus, the Bolivarian University of Venezuela (UBV), the Alonso de Ojeda University (Uniojeda), the Santiago Mariño Polytechnic Institute (PSM), among other institutions. who were represented by the different deans and rectors of the different houses of study who honored with their presence among them Dr. Rixio Romero, Dr. Calixto Hernández, the rector of Uniojeda, Henry Vásquez, Dr. Pedro Ysea, rector of the UPTZ, among others.

In this sense, Romero thanked the presence of the ministers Yelitze Santaella and Sandra Oblitas, for accompanying the Study Opportunities Expo Fair, in which they were showing the graduates the study offers of 8 institutions present, including Unermb as host, the Zulia Territorial Polytechnic University, the University of Health Sciences, Misión Sucre, Unefa, etc. with more than 1,200 high school graduates and more than 500 students from the university system.
