ExpoApras will provide space for Argentine companies

ExpoApras will have space with around 50 companies from Argentina

With the aim of strengthening the relationship between retailers in Paraná and industries in Argentina, ExpoApras will have a new space at the fair with around 50 companies from the neighboring country. The area, which will have approximately 300m², will feature several brands of varied products, canned and in natura.

The new space is the result of a partnership between Apras (Associação Paranaense de Supermercados) and the Confederation of Medium Enterprises of Argentina, which has 1,600 associations that bring together different companies from all regions of the country.

According to the creator of the space and one of the directors of Apras, Celso Gusso, one of the objectives of the initiative is to give visitors to the fair the opportunity to get to know and establish commercial partnerships with the Argentinean industry. “We want to bring these products here with better negotiations and add to the mix of imported items that we still can’t find on supermarket shelves in Paraná. In addition, we have a favorable scenario for imports due to the taxes applied to Mercosur countries.”

Will include space for organic food

The fair will also have spaces for cooperatives, organic products and for Ceasa-PR. For the president of Apras, Carlos Beal, ExpoApras seeks to unite different segments of the supply chain to strengthen the economy of Paraná and bring benefits to the final consumer. “Strengthening relationships with other sectors is essential so that everyone is engaged in the same purpose, which is to bring quality products at competitive prices to the population”, highlights Beal.

The supermarket sector in Paraná receives 2.7 million customers a day in almost 5,000 stores, generates approximately 200,000 direct and indirect jobs and recorded revenues of R$60 billion in 2021 – 9.9% of the segment’s revenues in Brazil.

When and where

ExpoApras takes place from April 18th to 20th, at the Expotrade Convention Center, in Pinhais (Metropolitan Region of Curitiba). The event is considered one of the largest and most renowned in the Brazilian supermarket segment and brings together more than 300 exhibiting brands with the main releases, technologies, services and solutions for retail.
