Asuncion, IP Agency.- More than 900 people applied for the 640 job vacancies offered during the Expo Empleo Joven 2024, in the city of San Lorenzo. It is part of the activities promoted by the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security (Mtess), during Youth Month.
The job placement day was supported by the National Youth Secretariat and the Municipality of San Lorenzo.
Interviews were conducted with Human Resources personnel from the 18 companies that participated in the fair. The available positions covered a wide range of job profiles, aimed mainly at the young population, with salaries ranging from the minimum to more than G 5 million.
The companies selected personnel for the positions of pharmacy manager and technician, collection officer, risk verifier, telesales, system analyst, beach attendant, kitchen assistant, delivery person, waiter, cook, cashier, assembly operator, welder, English/Spanish interpreter, baker, cleaning operator, gardener, driver, mechanic, checking account assistant, among others.
The jobs available are for Asuncion, San Lorenzo, Ñemby, Villa Elisa, Capiatá, Luque, Lambare, Villeta, Fernando de la Mora, Ita, Ypané and Guarambaré.
The participating companies operate in the financial, agricultural export, vehicle assembly, interpreting, appliance sales, catering, cleaning, supermarket and metallurgical sectors, among others.
All vacancies were previously available on the portal www.emplea.mtess.gov.py, where more than 900 people applied. Of the total number of applicants, more than 500 job seekers attended the interview this Friday.
