Expo 2024: Military Forces win the award for the best stand in interaction with the public

Asuncion, IP Agency.- At an event that brings together thousands of visitors every year, Expo Mariano Roque Alonso 2024 has witnessed an outstanding achievement by the Armed Forces, who received the award for the best stand in interaction with the public. In an interview with our media, Colonel Víctor Urdapilleta, General Director of Social Communication of the Armed Forces, shared details about the strategy and approach behind this success.

“For the second consecutive year, we have received an important award at the Expo Mariano Roque Alonso. Last year we were awarded as the best stand of public institutions, and this year, we have been recognized for our interaction with the public,” said Colonel Urdapilleta.

The interviewee mentioned that the design of the stand was based on being visually attractive and innovative, as well as providing comfort and safety to visitors. The structure allowed the public to observe the equipment and materials of the Armed Forces up close, while knowledgeable staff answered all their questions.

One of the key strategies was the inclusion of mascots adopted by different branches of the Armed Forces, who interacted with the public and especially attracted children. “The mascots were a great attraction, especially for the little ones, who enjoyed taking photos and accompanying them in their activities,” explained Urdapilleta. In addition, the stand had flight and navigation simulators, as well as the possibility of observing and handling cutting-edge weapons and equipment.

The award for best stand in interaction with the public is a recognition of the dedication and attitude of the military personnel. “The attitude of chivalry and courtesy of the military personnel, together with their deep knowledge of their functions, were fundamental in obtaining this award,” said Urdapilleta.

“We managed to capture the public’s attention because the items, equipment and vehicles on display were those that are not normally found anywhere,” said Urdapilleta. “These materials, equipment, weapons and vehicles were within reach of all those who visited the Armed Forces stand. They could handle them, get into the vehicles and ask about their characteristics, always accompanied by qualified personnel who provided information and ensured the safety of the visitors.”

“We want people to have a positive perception of the military’s role in society. We want civilians to see the military as an integral part of society, people who are here to provide security and defense to our country.”

The award for the best stand in interaction with the public reflects the dedication and commitment of the military personnel. “Their attitude of courtesy and deep knowledge of their work were crucial for this recognition,” Urdapilleta stressed. This is the second consecutive year that the Armed Forces have received an award at the Expo, underlining their ability to connect with society.

The main objective of participating in the Expo was to establish a direct connection with the citizens. “We wanted to provide information on everything related to the Armed Forces and to foster patriotism through the cult of national symbols,” said the Colonel. “Outside the stand, we also participated in the arena with displays of military personnel skills, dog shows and many other activities. Our goal was to foster patriotism and instill confidence in the citizens.”

The importance of this recognition lies in the acceptance and support of society towards the Armed Forces. “It is a valid parameter to realize the acceptance we have in our society and the positive impact we hope to have,” said Urdapilleta.
