After Errol Spence and Terence Crawford weigh-in for their welterweight unification fight, ‘Sweethands’ slapped ‘Hitman’
The weigh-in ceremony for Errol Spence and Terence Crawford for their unification bout for all the Welterweight titles was on fire, however, the protagonists were two fighters who will not be part of the card.
After both fighters stepped off the scale, backstage former World Boxing Association, World Council and World Boxing Organization super middleweight champion Caleb Plant got into an altercation with WBC Middleweight champion Jermall Charlo.
In a video circulating on social networks, you can see the moment in which Caleb Plant approaches Jermall Charlo and slaps him with his left hand before being separated by members of the security team.
Caleb Plant, 31, has a 22-2 record with 13 knockouts, however, those two losses were suffered in his last three bouts, when he was knocked out by Canelo Álvarez in 11 rounds in 2021 and last March fell by sweeping unanimous decision once morest David Benavidez in a fight for the interim WBC super middleweight title.
Jermall Charlo, 33, is 33-0 with 22 chloroforms, but has not fought since defeating Juan Macías Montiel by unanimous decision to retain the WBC Middleweight title on June 19, 2021.
