Explosions rocked eight regions of Ukraine

An air raid alert has been declared throughout Ukraine, Strana.ua reports with reference to the citizens’ notification system. Explosions are reported in Kyiv, Kharkov, Kherson, Krivoy Rog, over Odessa, in Kremenchug, Poltava, in the Kirovograd and Nikolaev regions.

Ukrenergo reports shelling of several infrastructure facilities in the eastern, western and southern regions, which led to power outages. The press service of the “Ukrainian Railways” stated that as a result of today’s shelling, certain sections of the tracks were de-energized. 5 out of 65 flights are delayed by 5 minutes or more, 3 more trains – by more than half an hour.

On the night of February 2, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that a four-story building collapsed in Kramatorsk when a rocket hit. The explosion killed 3 people, 20 people were injured. On the followingnoon of February 2, the head of the administration of the Donetsk region, Pavel Kirilenko, announced a repeated shelling of Kramatorsk, as a result of which 5 people were injured. Ukrenergo declared a state of emergency in December due to power outages. In early February, Odessa was de-energized due to an accident at a substation.
