According to local residents, a coke plant on the territory of NLMK caught fire.

“An open coal warehouse is burning at NLMK. The blow hit the coke-chemical workshop where the refrigeration units are located. Preliminarily, no one was injured, but the data is being clarified,” RosSMI wrote.

Governor of the Lipetsk region Igor Artamonov confirmed that a fire occurred in one of NLMK’s workshops. According to him, the fire has been extinguished, there are no injuries, and there is no threat of the release of hazardous substances.

“According to information unconfirmed by the special services, the cause of the fire was the fall of the aircraft. Now this information and the videos published on social networks are being verified,” Artamonov wrote.

He urged Russians not to panic while information regarding drones was being “checked,” and added that similar news was coming from neighboring regions. Because of this, all special services of the Lipetsk region are put on maximum alert.

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that they allegedly stopped attempts to carry out attacks using aircraft-type UAVs. The terrorist department said that air defense systems on duty intercepted unmanned aerial vehicles over the territories of the Kursk, Lipetsk and Tula regions.
