In Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a remote-controlled IED exploded near a police mobile, injuring 5 people, including 2 officials.
According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Warsak Arshad Khan, the unfortunate incident took place at around 9:00 am in Peshawar’s Warsak Road Pir Bala area. The police vehicle was on patrol when the remote control ID exploded.
In addition to 2 police officers, 3 civilians were also injured in the blast, while 3 vehicles of Rescue 1122 reached the spot on receiving the information of the blast, where the rescue personnel provided medical aid to the injured and shifted them to the hospital.
SP Warsak Arshad Khan said that 4 to 5 kg of explosives were used in the blast, the blast was carried out by remote control, 6 to 7 suspects were also detained from the scene for investigation.
Spokesperson Lady Reading Hospital
According to Muhammad Asim, the spokesperson of Lady Reading Hospital, 5 injured people of Peshawar Warsak Road blast were transferred to LRH, 2 policemen and 3 civilians are among the injured.
The spokesman further said that all the injured are being given immediate medical assistance while the condition is out of danger, no one was killed in the blast, check-up of all the injured is ongoing and they will be discharged after comfort.

Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur has asked for a report on the incident of Peshawar Warsak Road blast.
The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa directed to provide the best medical assistance to the injured and also expressed his best wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured.
