“An attacker died on the spot. According to preliminary information, he blew himself up,” Interior Minister Igor Klymenko said on social media, adding that two police officers were injured.
“Teams of investigators, special forces, explosives experts and other necessary services are on the scene,” the minister said earlier in a social media post.
He recommended to the inhabitants of the capital not to approach the site and to let the emergency services intervene.
“We are in the process of establishing the details” of the events, he said.
