Exploring the GOAT Debate: LeBron, Jordan, and an Unexpected Contender

Jordan, LeBron, LeBron, Jordan, and so on. The GOAT debate was, is, and will always be talked regarding, but his options are quite limited, between the six-time champion with the Bulls, and the child from Ohio. But to our greatest surprise, and to the delight of our zygomatics, Brandon Miller offered a place at the table to a new guest… Paul George, of whom the Draft podium candidate has always been a fan.

Attention, “hot take” in sight. Expected very high during the Draft, and even in second position according to the latest rumors, Brandon Miller was invited to comment on the traditional subject of Greatest Of All Time. As a child of the 2010s, Brandon might have chosen safety by mentioning LeBron James because he was the one he got to see live during his entire childhood. Or by naming Michael Jordan, once morest whom he did workouts this week, and to show off the Hornets. But Brandon is different and gave us the answer NO ONE expected: Paul George.

“I actually don’t think LeBron is the GOAT of basketball… My GOAT of basketball is Paul George.”

“I don’t think LeBron is the GOAT of basketball…my GOAT is Paul George. I grew up watching him play.” –Brandon Miller

So actually, said like that, it makes you smile. But deep down, we suspect what Brandon meant, he has always been a fan of PG13 and has just never loved a player so much. Moreover, he says that George is “his GOAT”, symbol of a child who has never taken his eyes off his star. So, LBJ and Michael are on another stratosphere than the Clipper if we take basketball from a global point of view. But for young Miller, Paulo was the perfect role model. A similar size and style of play, just like the roles of the two boys on a basketball court. Given the projections for the Alabama winger for the 2023 Draft, he did well to follow in PG’s footsteps.

Surely none of this will affect our position on Paul George’s place in the Greatest Player of All Time debate, but we had a blast. Maybe not Michael Jordan, who apparently fell in love with Brandon during his last workouts in Charlotte. It would not be a question of changing His Airness’s mind anyway.
