1. EECi is one of the key areas of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). The focus of the government of General Prayut Chan-o-cha is to make EECi an innovation hub to connect research and development with investment in modern technology. By supporting the creation of a BCG economy, the development of the EECi area is similar to the development of the Silicon Valley of the United States or the Haidian District in Beijing or even the Silicon Valley of India in Bengaluru. Wangchan Valley), Rayong Province

2. Wangchan Valley has an economic zone development slogan, Smart Natural Innovation Platform, with EECi as a link between Laboratory Development and Industrial Application. The key approaches that EECi emphasizes are (a) adding value to the agricultural sector (b) supporting the transition. industrial sector; and (c) future industry development.

3. The EECi targeted industries for development include six areas: (a) Modern Agriculture, (b) Biofuels and Biochemicals, (c) Robotics & Automated, (d) Batteries and Modern Vehicles, (e) Medical Devices, and (f) Manufacturing. Aeronautics and spacecraft by EECi is considered a sustainable innovation city under platforms such as BIO Polis and ARI Polis, among others.

4. An interesting example is modern agriculture or modern agriculture in which EECi has invested in the development of Smart Farm with infrastructure connected to IoT, the development of Phenomics Technology, which is an appearance assessment using digital technology and automation to monitor plant growth. that responds to the designed environment properly controlled

5. The aim of Modern Agriculture is to develop an efficient agricultural sector. Creating added value (Value added) for agricultural products Take leftovers from the production process to create products.

6. The government’s role in Smart Farm within the EECi is to support the budget to create technology that meets the needs of Precision Agricultures or the creation of precision agriculture that can select suitable breeds, fertilizers, minerals, and food with Digital Technology as an aid.

10. The case of CleanTech Park in Singapore is another green economic zone created in response to the BCG Economy by focusing on research and development of clean energy. use of environmental protection technology Like Guancaste in Costa Rica, the Costa Rican government has developed this area as an eco-tourism, which is one of Costa Rica’s signatures, as well as being the starting point for the BCG economy model in Costa Rica, including the use of renewable energy in organic farming.
