From August 5 to 27, every day except Monday, from 3 to 7 p.m. the works of Jérémy Annet are at Espace Orlando.
The painter Jeremy Annett presents his universe “Résonances”. Beautiful square-format canvases, which are well suited to structured compositions, superimposed colored bands in muted tones, or generous flat areas in bright hues. On some one would see multiple horizons, whose dividing line varies in height from one canvas to another. Or, differently, the verticals in successive folds might be screens or the bellows of an accordion. This same intention of the painter applies to other inspirations where the balance of the composition comes into play, as well as the research of textures. The work of light and material is remarkable.
Jeremy Annett’s paintings offer amateurs a journey into a world between dream and reality, where the accuracy of color is paramount, and simple compositions command admiration. It is the color that leads the orchestra.
The orchestra? Yes, because Annett is a music lover, he works by listening to music that often inspires him. Perhaps he did not imagine it, but on certain canvases, wouldn’t we see piano keys, or the notations of a score? “The importance is to make people dream. Painting is a language that can be read with the eyes, the heart and the soul; a language that cannot be spoken”. J. ANNETT In this same exhibition the artist does not deprive himself of a desire, very occasional, to paint a landscape or a still life. On the picture rails of the Espace Orlando the visitor will discover or find another world of Jeremy Annett, that of a rather free figuration, where the softness of the colors dominates, where the shapes of the objects are superimposed, blend together. The objects are there, but they are only present to bring the space back to the intimacy of feelings, emotions.
