Busan Haeundae Police Station announced on the 18th that it is confirming the whereregardings of two men believed to be foreigners on suspicion of trespassing. On the 15th, the police received a report that “someone jumped from L City with a parachute” and were dispatched to the scene, but were unable to identify them. Two men believed to be foreigners were suspected of sneaking into the L City building in Jung-dong, Haeundae-gu, Busan at the time. LCT is a 411m tall building with 101 floors above ground. They appear to have jumped from the 99th floor, where the observatory was built.

Police believe that they are experts in so-called ‘base jumping’, which involves jumping with a parachute from famous skyscrapers around the world. In 2019, two Russians were fined for trespassing following jumping from a high-rise building in Haeundae, including L City. At the time, there was a great controversy, and the two Russians in question were banned from leaving the country, and they were only able to leave the country following depositing a fine of 5 million won.
