Doha: The permanent exhibition at the Heritage Library attracts students who want to learn and learn more regarding the Arab and Islamic world, including Qatar’s rich history and heritage. The Heritage Library is located at the heart of the Qatar National Library. About 400 heritage and historical artifacts are on permanent display in the library.
QNL official Stephan J. Ipert said, “This is the best experience for the new generation who want to know and learn deeply regarding Qatar’s rich history and way of life.
He explained that many visitors of different ages come to the library to get a closer look at the heritage collection and among them are visitors from secondary school students. Ipert said in an interview with a local newspaper that the visit inspired teachers to further improve their teaching methods with students.
Students from various universities are regular visitors to the library as part of their courses and in connection with their assignments related to the history of Qatar. It also utilizes Qatar University history students on their field trips, particularly in relation to manuscripts.
The Heritage Library has a number of manuscript manuscripts that allow us to learn more regarding the codicology associated with manuscript manuscripts.
Ipert pointed out that there are many manuscripts in the collection that explain the role of Muslim scholars in the fields of science, mathematics, geometry and engineering.
The Heritage Library has more than 3500 Islamic manuscripts, 500 calligraphic panels and artifacts. The carefully curated collection covers a variety of topics.
