A quick day in Nanjing and a walk around the ancient city wall in the morning. It is said to be an ancient city wall, but in order to store some lighting equipment at night, some new wall stacks were built on the city wall. They put up colorful flags, red lanterns, and lighting facilities at night. It seems that if they don’t do this, they won’t show the style of ancient city walls and are neither fish nor fowl.
At noon, we arrived at the Niushou Mountain Buddhist Holy Land. I wanted to be more sincere and have a fast meal first. Vegetarian dishes naturally include “chicken”, “duck”, “fish”, and “meat”. They are specially prepared for those who are vegetarian but not vegetarian. The taste is really good. Niushou Mountain is the theme of our trip to Nanjing. It is a huge Buddhist cultural tourist area. We went there on weekdays and there were not many tourists. Take a car from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain, and you will see a huge building that looks like a Buddha’s head. It is reflected in the clear pool in front of the door and sparkles. Walking into the building, there is a sleeping Buddha slowly rotating in the center of the hall. There are lotus flowers under the seat and a model Bodhi tree next to it. The mist rises slowly. It is very solemn against the magnificent dome, and then there are repeated broadcasts. Visitors were asked not to speak loudly, over and over again, echoing through the halls. Then take the escalator and go down level by level until you reach the underground, where you will find a splendid Buddhist palace, exquisitely crafted and breathtaking.
After walking and looking carefully, it took me two hours to complete the travel program in Nanjing. We had dinner at the hotel in the evening, the food and wine were exquisite, and everyone went back to the room happily. There was nothing to say all night. The next day the team returned to Hong Kong and I took the high-speed train to Shanghai. I bought the best business class seat. When I got on the bus, I saw that the seats were luxurious and spacious, comparable to first-class seats on airplanes. However, there was a man eating in my seat. When he saw me coming, he quickly got up and cleaned up. It looked like he was giving up his seat to someone else. me too. It turned out that he was sitting in the front seat. I don’t know why he came to my seat to eat, and the food in the carriage was full of food. Then there was a man who took his daughter to Disneyland in Shanghai to celebrate her birthday. She kept shouting “baby, baby” all the way, which was more annoying than his little daughter who was watching cartoons loudly on her tablet computer. When he wasn’t calling “baby,” he talked loudly on the phone to discuss business, and he had to stand up to speak so that everyone could hear him. Then there was a couple who let their four or five-year-old daughter run around in the carriage, turning a blind eye to their daughter’s restlessness and noise.
There were only a few people in the carriage, but it felt like falling into a market. What’s the use of having a good seat?
