The Goya Museum offers you a new cycle of conferences with Françoise Barbe-Gall around the four major figures in the emergence of modernity in Spain.

In turn, the painting of Ignacio Zuloaga, Santiago Rusiñol y Prats, Ramon Casals, and the work of the young Picasso will be presented.

Evolving between tradition and modernity, in a rapidly changing Europe, artists are paving the way for new ways of expressing themselves.

Françoise Barbe-Gall is a French art historian and lecturer in national museums. She also taught the history of modern and contemporary art at the École du Louvre. Since 2020, she has provided a regular program of online conferences and takes part in the auditorium of the newspaper Le Monde for evening classes. She is also the author of numerous books on painting, including How to look at a painting (Éditions du Chêne, 2021), How to talk regarding art with children (Le Second Horizon, 2017), Entering a painting (Le Second Horizon , 2018).

The conferences will take place in the Salle des Estates of the Goya Museum on Thursday March 28, April 25, May 30 at 6:30 p.m. and Thursday June 27 at 7 p.m.
