Jeddah- An exhibition and seminar on Jeddah’s rich history and culture across the centuries kicked off at the University of Business and Technology. Organized by the Saudi Historical Society, the event will conclude on Thursday 29th. 17 prominent historians will present their papers in the seminar on various aspects of the growth and development of the city of Jeddah, which is regarding three thousand years old, and future plans. The program will feature scientific sessions and lectures highlighting the historical and cultural development stages of Jeddah city from the era of King Abdulaziz to Vision 2030 with the participation of various universities, government and private sectors. Fahad Al-Maliki said. The seminar will highlight the country’s efforts to demonstrate the role of the Saudi ruling leadership in preserving Jeddah’s historic Islamic landmarks and monuments and documenting the process of renaissance and development that the city aims at at all levels. Native carpets, toys and clothes will be on display. A visit to the Almadad Foundation Museum at Jeddah Park Mall, Jeddah Historical Area, and a cruise along Jeddah’s shores are also arranged.
