One of the biggest highlights of this year’s Xbox Games Showcase was the latest Fable trailer. After a long silence, Playground Games gave us a look at some of the title’s content, though in one trailer, it consisted mostly of CGI crap starring comedian Richard Ayoade, who plays a rather Depressed giant. With that in mind, our very own David Caballero recently had the chance to speak with Fable’s father, Peter Molyneux, who launched three mainlines during his time at the now-defunct Lionhead Studios. installments into the fantasy series and a series of spin-off projects.As part of our participation in the Barcelona Gamelab, we asked him what he thought of the Fable reveal, and Molyneux told us: “I think Richard[Ayoade]The casting…I think his casting is perfect and it’s Fable to have him obsessed with vegetables. Molyneux continued: “You know, the thing regarding Fable is that you have to remember, and I remember when we originally designed Fable, I sat and said, I think we can all agree that Fable is going to be fun because of what players do. It doesn’t It’s not funny because it has a lot of jokes. It doesn’t actually have any jokes, but it’s really funny because we allow the player to react in absurd ways, and that absurdity still seems to be present in the trailer. Finally, Molyneux said : “Like you, I’d love to see more gameplay, but I really like the fireballs thrown by the heroine. I like the impact it gives. I think this shows real hope. So, you know, my hopes are high. Playground Games have yet to announce when we’ll return to Albion in their rendition of Fable, but to learn more regarding Molyneux’s work at developer 22cans, you can watch our take on the iconic game designer below.
