Sharjah | Museums in Sharjah are offering free entry to the public until March 3. The Sharjah Museum Authority allows free entry to museums such as Sharjah Fort (Al Hin), Sharjah Calligraphy Museum, Bait Al Naboodah and Hisn Khorfaqan.

In addition, the ‘Museums Express’ mobile bus tour will be conducted in Dibba Al Hisn on February 28 and in the Heart of Sharjah on March 1 and 3. Museums Express enables visitors to travel through the various Sharjah Museum collections.

Residents and tourists alike have the opportunity to experience the rich Emirati culture and heritage. In addition, visitors can participate in various workshops that help them immerse themselves in the richness of heritage and history. This includes the Al Hisn Towers workshop in Sharjah Fort (Al Hin).

Built in 1845 AD, Bait Al Naboodah is known for its exquisite heritage architecture featuring Roman-inspired wooden columns and intricate ornamentation. Here a workshop will be organized on painting floral and geometric designs in gypsum. A photo exhibition titled ‘Architectural Decoration in the Emirate of Sharjah’ will also be held here.

Sharjah Calligraphy Museum will also organize a ‘Letter Pendant’ workshop. It teaches you how to make unique pendants with colorful wires, shiny beads and beautiful Arabic letters to decorate phones, bags and more. The workshop showcasing Arab customs and traditions will be held at the Sharjah Heritage Museum.

A photo exhibition titled ‘Geometric and Floral Ornaments’ will be held at Bait Sheikh Saeed bin Hamad Al Qasimi Museum in Kalba.

The museums will be open from Saturday to Thursday between 8 am and 8 pm and on Friday from 4 pm to 8 pm.
