The Montblanc 1858 series launches the new Geosphere 0 Oxygen Antarctic Exploration Limited Edition 1990 watch, which is a limited edition watch inspired by the Antarctic design.
Montblanc Mark-Maker and legendary explorer Reinhold Messner and explorer Arved Fuchs set the record in 1990 by becoming the first people to cross Antarctica on foot without the assistance of animals or motorized devices. They walked 2,800 kilometers and climbed more than 3,000 kilometers, while carrying sleds weighing more than 100 kilograms and using only navigation instruments such as compasses to guide the direction. This adventure story became the source of inspiration for the new work. The gradient dial shows the icy blue color of the icebergs and the distinct glacial texture of the Antarctic polar regions. The back of the case is a three-dimensional laser engraving of the frozen scenery and the Southern Lights scenery.
The watch is equipped with MB 29.25 movement and has a 42-hour power reserve function. Like all 1858 Geosphere watches, the Northern and Southern Hemispheres are two three-dimensional globes that rotate counterclockwise, and are equipped with day and night display functions so that the wearer can know the current time at a glance. The 42 mm diameter ultra-light titanium case and replaceable tapered bracelet continue the ice crystal theme of this series, and are equipped with fine-tuning functions and innovative full satin finishing. In addition, this chronograph watch comes with an interchangeable gray corded textile strap.
