Experts defend the importance of technological training in promoting gender – news

The introduction of technological education from the first years of the school context, in order to provide skills and abilities to women and guarantee gender equality, was defended, yesterday, in Luanda, by the president of the firm The William 1624 Societ, Vicent Tuccker.

According to the person responsible, who spoke on the panel on Technologies and Education as Tools to achieve Gender Equality, within the scope of the III Luanda Biennale, it focuses on basic education, to promote citizenship, valuing the multiple roles of the citizen user, through transferable and valid skills. “It is essential to start introducing technological aspects and their applications at a young age, as only then will women be more qualified in terms of their degrees”, he reinforced.

In this sense, he said, according to Angop, that the contribution of the private sector in promoting the use of technology in the educational system plays an important role, as the actions have produced competence at the level of students.

In the same vein, the director of the Celestial Culture, Word of Peace and Restoration of Light center, Regan Durkin, stated that women and men must be involved in the pacification process. With this, she argues, the two must be equal actors in sharing a culture of peace and development for success at national and regional levels.

They, he continued, must have a broad vision and observe the policies, constitution and character ensuring that gender equality and critical methods for a lasting peace that persists for several generations.

Regan Durkin also said that it is important to ensure that the culture of peace in these pillars is perceived by all teachers so that it is not a separate subject, but addressed in all subjects in schools. “In schools they simply learn the curricular content without taking into account the issue of character”, she observed.
