Experiencing 14 floors of passes to “Bao Lac Heaven’s Gate” in Cao Bang

Many people compare the 14 floors of the pass to being like stairs leading to the sky, or rather leading to “Bao Lac heaven gate”.

Me Pia Pass is a pass located on National Highway 4A, this is a unique road connecting Xuan Truong commune with the center of Bao Lac district, Cao Bang province.

Many years ago, the people of Xuan Truong wanted to go down to town, the only means of transport was horseback, if they did not want to go by their own feet on the steep road. According to local people, this was just a trail crisscrossing the mountain before.

There are sections, the bends of the road form a soft M shape.

About 2009 – 2011, Cao Bang province invested and expanded the Ma Pia road and adjusted some dangerous sections to widen the road surface to 5m and pave the asphalt.

Since then, 14 “sleeve crabs” have been cut deeper into the cliff to get more road space to ensure safety, making traveling between Bao Lac district and surrounding areas easy.

There is a section of the road like stairs to heaven’s gate.

Khau Coc Cha Pass, the road also becomes a highlight, adorning the majesty of the mountains.

Looking down from above, Khau Coc Cha pass meanders like a small soft silk strip crisscrossing the mountainside, creating a “drawing” that adorns the vast green mountains. Many people compare the 14 floors of the pass to being like stairs leading to the sky, or rather leading to “Bao Lac heaven gate”.

Between the overlapping green forests and mountains, there is a winding road that always impresses visitors, clinging to the feet of those who love to explore.
