Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) — Are you brave enough to eat a Ramadan breakfast on a high-rise?
The rock formations adorn Al-Reith Governorate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi photographer, Muhammad Al-Mawasi, documented this experience during the month of Ramadan, specifically on the mountains of oppression. (Watch the video clip above)
Through the video clip documented by Al-Mawasi, a group of people can be seen sitting on a rocky cliff surrounded by towering, bone-chilling panoramic scenes.
In an interview with CNN in Arabic, the photographer said: “On the 20th of Ramadan, I decided to go to a site that includes the most beautiful waterfalls in southern Saudi Arabia, i.e. Al-Wahida Waterfall… with three of my friends who love to travel and explore nature.”
Although he visited the site several times previously, this was his first breakfast experience at the place.
Al-Mawasi was keen to document this journey that combines beauty and daring at the same time.
The video clip in which he documented his experience gained more than 500,000 views when he shared it on Twitter regarding a week ago.
These scenes surprised many of his followers, some of whom described the experience as “very beautiful”, while others expressed that it was “terrifying” or “very dangerous”.
The photographer confirmed that he and his friends had the necessary experience to be on the site, but he recommended that non-trainees avoid doing the same.
Al-Mawasi also works as a journalist and director of short documentaries.
The Saudi is interested in exploring and documenting natural features, such as volcanic craters, mountains with their strange formations, abyssal valleys, islands, and forests far from cities.
