The Nîmes festival announces its return in 2024 to the city’s sumptuous arenas. In the program ? Numerous concerts, including those of James Blunt, Suzanne Vega and Ninho, the first names in this new edition!
Who doesn’t know the Nimes Festival which takes place every summer on the exceptional site of the Arènes de Nîmes? Since the beginning, this festival has welcomed incredible international and French-speaking artists: PJ Harvey, Placebo, Noir Désir, Ben Harper, David Bowie, The Cure, Compay Segundo, Depeche Mode, Rammstein, Metallica and many others.
The South of France is known for hosting the largest number of festivals in France: theater, music, dance and even street theater… all cultural disciplines are represented there.
Unsurprisingly therefore, the Nîmes Arena attract several thousand visitors each year, fascinated by the quality of conservation of its site. Classified as a historic monument, the Arènes de Nîmes are, by their very architectural function, a place of shows and games.
After Michel Polnareff, Zazie and Florent Pagny, Slipknot, Damso, Placebo, Ludovico Einaudi, the duo Gims & Dadju, the Arctic Monkeys, Sigur Rós, Gojira, The Black Keys or even Djadja & Dinaz in 2023, who will vibrate the Nimes Festival in 2024 ? Well, for now, we know the names of the first two artists who will invade the Nîmes Arena in summer 2024.
In a post published on September 19, the festival revealed that the British artist James Bluntfamous for his hits “Goodbye My Lover” et “You’re Beautiful” as well as Suzanne Vegapopularized thanks to his hit “Luka“, will invest the site on Tuesday July 16 next.
Other name ? That of Child ! The rapper will be at the Arènes de Nîmes on Saturday July 6, 2024. A word of advice, don’t miss the opening of the ticket office for this Ninho concert with the exclusive pre-sale of the festival accessible from Tuesday October 3 at 10 a.m. www.festivaldenimes.com, then the general on sale set for Thursday October 5, 2023 at 10 a.m.
