If you are in Nîmes, you no longer need to take the car to go to Pont du Gard. You can visit the Jardins de la Fontaine for a while. Where does this mystery come from? In fact, it is a work put together for the Nîmes contemporary art festival. April 5, 6 and 7 mark the inauguration of the first edition of La Contemporaine de Nîmes, triennial of contemporary creation supported by the City. Entitled “A new youth”, its theme is current youth, its concerns and its links with the generations that precede it, through the notions of heritage and transmission.

It is Tadashi Kawamata, a Japanese visual artist, who created the Aqueduct in wood. With him, Feda Wardak for the Pont du Gard, and the collaboration of the young people of the Compagnons du Devoir of Nîmes.
