Many campers arrived at Camping de la Joie in Quebec City on Friday.
The sites are all occupied for this long weekend of the national holiday, as is the case in most campsites.
“We have 160 pitches in all. We have about half of the land that is seasonal. So the other part, half arrived yesterday and the other half will arrive today,” Karine Lajoie, owner of Camping de la Joie, told TVA Nouvelles.
But this year, due to restrictions due to forest fires, the National Day festivities are reduced. Fireworks and bonfires had to be cancelled.
