Tanur ∙ Now you can walk over the waves on the shore of Ottumpurum, which is a tourist destination. From Tuvalthiram beach, the project of walking to the sea with innovation starts over the waves. As a part of promoting adventure tourism, the District Tourism Promotion Council is launching a floating bridge ride.
The floating bridge allows you to walk 100 meters from the shore to the sea. Tuvaltheeram Amusement Private Limited is responsible for the construction. Entry is from 10 am to 6.45 pm. The entry fee is Rs. 120. There will be safety boats and life jackets as part of the elaborate safety arrangements. The services of lifeguards and fishermen will also be utilized.
The bridge will be secured with anchors weighing 7000 kg. Fiber HDPE foreign-made bridge is constructed by stacking blocks in interlocking pattern above the sea bed. It is 3 meters wide and has steel handrails on both sides.
.A 11 meter long and 7 meter wide floating sight seeing platform has also been constructed at the end of the path. From here you can experience the marine habitat and the phenomena of the waves. Entry will not be allowed to children below 3 years of age, the elderly, differently abled and those using intoxicants.
