Expensive gastronomy: inflation rose to 9.2 percent in July – economic policy

Inflation in Austria increased further in July and, according to a flash estimate by Statistics Austria, reached 9.2 percent, the highest level since March 1975. “While there are renewed price increases for household energy and gastronomy, the prices for food and fuel remain at a high level,” explains Statistics Austria Director General Tobias Thomas.
