Regarding data referring to the expectation index for new ventures and services, there was a drop of 2.6 points, reaching 51.1 points in November. However, it is noted that both indices remain above the level observed in November 2022.

Regarding expectations related to the acquisition of inputs and raw materials, there was a decrease of 1.5 points in the transition from October to November, reaching 51.6 points. As for the index that measures expectations in relation to the number of employees, the report shows that there was a reduction of 1.3 points, reaching 51.8 points in the same period.

José Antônio Valente, director of the franchise in construction Franquia Trans Obra states that the reductions in expectation indexes show that everyone must remain alert, as the values ​​presented are very close to the central range of 50 points. “Of course there is concern on the part of businesspeople regarding the economy and the path that the construction industry will follow next year, however the values ​​are still above the 50 point range, but this does not mean that businesspeople in the sector are pessimistic, especially with the data presented”.

When asked regarding the subject, José Antônio stated that the result presented regarding the intention to invest to remain at a relatively high level is very positive for the construction industry sector. “With the index above the historical average of 37.1 points, we see that many businesspeople have confidence in the sector to the point that, even with negative data on expectations, investment intentions are high.”
