2023-05-28 06:06:12

Apple is likely to announce its 2023 iPhones in September this year, and the iPhone 16 series is expected to launch around the same time next year.

Here’s everything we know regarding the upcoming iPhones

MacRumors reported that the iPhone 16 Pro models will come with huge screens as Apple plans to change screen sizes for the 2024 iPhone, according to details revealed by Ross Young, co-founder of Display Supply Chain Consultants.

The aforementioned source claimed that the iPhone 16 Pro and Max models will have 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, respectively.

These are likely OLED panels because Apple has been offering the same thing with most of their models.

In comparison, the current iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max have two screens of 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches, respectively.

It is noteworthy that Apple does not plan to change to make changes to the display for the iPhone 15 series, and that 2023 and iPhone will retain the same old panels that were seen on last year’s devices.

The rest of the details regarding the iPhone 16 series are unknown, but we can take a look at the iPhone 15 as the leaks have already painted a good picture of what we can expect from this year’s iPhones.

The iPhone 15 and its Plus model are expected to pack the Apple Bionic A16 chipset, while the Pro models will come with the new A17 chip under the hood.

And some reports indicate that all models have a USB Type-C port instead of the Apple Lightning port.

It is reported that all devices will feature the company’s new Dynamic Island feature, which was only introduced on the iPhone 14 Pro models. This means that we may see the perforated screen design on all units.

Apple is also expected to offer a larger battery module with newer models and better battery optimization.

It is likely that the iPhone 15 series will ship with the iOS 17 operating system.

And the leaks indicate that the standard models are getting a major upgrade in the camera department.

The rear camera setup might also include a 48MP primary sensor instead of the 12MP main camera seen on previous models.

Also, the regular versions will not contain a telephoto camera like the Pro models, because this is something that will remain limited to the high-end models, according to the leaks.

Pro models tend to have larger sensors for better photographic output.
