The 2023 ballot elections closed this Sunday at 6 p.m. throughout the country to define whether Sergio Massa, from Unión por la Patria, or Javier Milei, from La Libertad Avanza, will be the one who governs Argentina for the next four years. in the bunker opponent there is “expectation” to know the results, while in the ruling party breathes “calm and optimism” towards the official scrutiny.

With a strong inspection system and high turnout at the polls, citizens voted normally, despite the fact that there were some isolated episodes in which stolen or broken ballots were reported.

The Electoral Justice will be in charge of announcing the results starting at 9 p.m., when three hours have passed following the end of the democratic act, as stipulated by law.

The National Electoral Chamber (CNE) reported that 62% of the total registry voted this Sunday at 4 p.m., a figure just above that registered at the same time, during the general elections in October.

Faced with the uncertainty of a scenario of extreme parity, the CNE clarified: “There is no possibility that the trend will not be known on Sunday, but it may happen that in the event of parity we must wait until the final vote to know the winner.”

The final count begins 48 hours following the end of the elections and is carried out by the National Electoral Justice.

Massa was the winner of the general elections on October 22, with 36.78%. Following him was the libertarian, who maintained the percentage achieved in the PASO – in which he led at the time – of 29.98%.
