Expatriate Medical Staff in Kuwait Granted Family Visas: A Boost to the Health Sector

KUWAIT CITY> The Ministry of Interior has given the green light for expatriate medical staff at the Ministry of Health to receive family visas for their wives and children subject to certain conditions, a local daily reports. The decision to grant family visas, albeit in a phased manner and for specific groups, has given hope to expatriates. Health Minister Dr. Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi’s request was approved by the first deputy prime minister and interior minister, Sheikh Talal Al-Khalid, the newspaper reported, quoting the relevant centers. According to the paper, this decision can ensure stability in the health sector and prevent the attrition of skilled workers needed by the country in various fields. Especially medical staff, consultants and those with rare specialization can stay in Kuwait if family visa is granted.
