Expansion of medical services will allow access to some 3,000 inhabitants in the district of Guairá

Asuncion, IP Agency.- Some 3,000 residents of the Tebicuary district are benefiting from two new services at the Loma Pindó Family Health Unit, Guairá department.

They include a dental office and an area of ​​the Early Stimulation Service, within the framework of the Early Childhood Development Program “Paraguay Growing Together”, which will be open on Tuesdays from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The new facilities will be added to the family medicine services (clinic), home care, nursing, dressings, vaccinations and others that will improve the quality of life of the residents, offering them comprehensive and close attention.

First public dental office

The health portfolio highlights that the district of Tebicuary is opening its first public dental office, which required an investment of 35 million guaraníes. It included the installation of a new dental chair with its compressor, LED lights, inspection and operating instruments, as well as dental supplies, among others.

As for the early stimulation area, it has a consulting room built in cooperation with the local Municipality, with air conditioning, a desk, a children’s rug, blocks, puzzles, four chairs, a wooden table, three balls and other materials necessary for children from 0 to 5 years old, with the support of the Local Health Council.

The opening ceremony was attended by the head of the Oral Health Directorate of the Ministry of Public Health; as well as representatives of the IV Health Region; the departmental secretary of health, the director and officials of the USF and the municipal mayor of Tebicuary.
