The portrait of the Indian Nasreen, to see in the exhibition “They, here and now”, on the plain of Plainpalais.
VALERIE MARTINEZ/NADIR MOKDAD
Magnificent portraits, supplemented by strong and often moving testimonies: from migration, fourteen women reveal their life course and their capacity for resilience through the exhibition “They, here and now”, on the plain of Plainpalais du April 3 to 14. They also talk about their projects and their future lives, displaying a smile that contrasts with the difficulties they often face on a daily basis. Each presents an object, a symbol of its integration. Administrative employee at the City of Geneva, the Indian Nasreen chose a reproduction of the wall of the Reformers. His motto (“Post Tenebras Lux”, “After Darkness, Light”) reminds him of his situation.
