Manama: The Deputy King met with His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain Tourism Minister Fatima bint Jafar Al Sairafi and Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority Chief Executive Officer Dr Nasser Qaidi at Gudaibiya Palace. The meeting took place following Exhibition World Bahrain won the ‘World’s Leading New Exhibition and Convention Center 2023’ award. Deputy King congratulated the Ministry of Tourism, BTEA and their officials.
His Royal Highness emphasized the importance of continued efforts in the tourism sector, which is one of the priority areas in the country’s comprehensive development plan led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. In line with the country’s development plans, Prince Salman pointed out the importance of adopting initiatives to increase the country’s exhibition-hosting sector and its contribution to the national economy. The Minister of Tourism and CEO of BTEA thanked His Royal Highness for his commitment to further develop the important tourism sector.
Internationally, Exhibition World has been recognized as the best exhibition center in 2023. This has been received in the category of International Travel Awards 2023. Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority CEO Dr. Nasir Al Qaidi received the award. Representatives of famous international tourism organizations and travel agents participated in the event.
Exhibition World is architecturally designed with beautiful architecture to suit exhibitions, conventions, gala events, banquets, corporate launches, family fun and special events. It has an area of 95,000 square meters in 10 halls. It has a large hall with 400-4000 seat capacity, 95 meeting rooms, 20 translation booths, 14 organizer offices, three majlis and dressing rooms. Apart from these, there are bridal suites, 25 restaurants, cafes and retail shops.
